In this free 90 minute workshop, you'll not only learn why your reader is the best place to start, you'll also craft an Ideal Reader Statement to guide you as you develop your book.

Developing your nonfiction book for a specific reader will help you:

  • craft your argument in a way that your reader feels seen
  • develop a transformational promise you can get your reader to which builds trust
  • choose the right content for this book
  • Choose the perfect stories that connect with your reader AND that teach and explain concepts
  • write a book that impacts readers and changes lives

In this interactive workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to submit your work to get feedback from Amy during the workshop.

A FINAL NOTE FROM AMY

PaigeMajor-MOBCON2019-AmyIsaman-13

In the hero’s journey, when the hero gets “the call to adventure,” at the very beginning, she has the option of moving forward or not. If she does move forward, she can complete the cycle and return transformed, as a hero, or in this case as an author.

If she doesn’t answer the call, she stays in stasis, watching others do what she dreams of doing. Have you ever read a book that you wish you'd written? Yeah, me too.

I spent 20 years of my life denying the call to write because I didn’t think I was “good enough,” (despite a Bachelor's in English and a Master's degree in Literature, and years of experience teaching writing). I am good enough. So are you.

We all have something to say, something to share that someone out there needs to hear.

Many of us refuse the call to write because we’re afraid or don't know how to get started. It’s a painful and frustrating denial of self.

Don’t do that. There's a reason you have this calling to write the book (besides the fact that it won't leave you alone).

The world needs to read it, so let's make sure your ideas are solid and your book will make the impact you dream of.

Let's get started and heed that call to write.

xo,

Amy
