Episode #55 – Quick Creativity Tip: How to Capture & Organize Your Brilliant Ideas
As a creative, whether you’re a writer or a visual artist, I bet you get LOTS of ideas. Some of them are fabulous. Some are meh. Some won’t work right now but might be great in a month or a year or five years.
The trick is to capturing them when we get them and organizing them in such a way that they’re easy to access and revisit when you’re ready for them.
Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:
- My favorite idea capture tools:
- Aqua Notes
- Bath Crayons
- otter.ai – voice to text transcription tool
- Google Docs or Word
- My journal – an unlined composition book. I talk all about these in episode 53.
- My favorite idea organization tools
- Why keeping your tools and systems simple is the best strategy
